The Organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to support the Group Accounting Manager and to take over the daily accounting functions.

  • Preparation of monthly cashbook management reports
  • Reconciliation of several multi-currency bank accounts

  • Supervision of an accounting junior
  • Create / Provide performance reports
  • Maintain a variety of miscellaneous records

  • Weekly sales reporting across several business divisions / sectors
  • Ensuring the work is completed to tight deadlines

This is a senior role with a hugely ambitious company, looking to provide thought leadership in stem cell education, working in partnership with the health, education and financial services industries on a global basis.

The COO will be tasked with building the capacity and capability with WideAcademy to deliver the wider objectives of the team, including the creation and running of a team of internal staff and external contractors to deliver thought leadership and education to a variety of partners and consumers.

It will involve advocacy and ambassadorship for the team, building global relationships to drive WideCells forward in new markets, necessitating the ability to form professional relationships and run partnerships and teams in international markets.

This is a full-time role.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

General management

At the wider level, the role is key to maintaining the cohesive working of a disparate team

working in a number of markets and on a variety of projects. This will involve some key

deliverables:

  • Coordination of documentation
  • Consolidation of budgets, oversight of expenditure and reporting to the group finance team
  • Management of third party contracts and payments
  • Consolidate reporting to board level
  • To act as a point of contact for senior management (including some diary control)

Stakeholder management:

  • WideAcademy will create a number of critical programmes to deliver on key targets, the first of which will be the WideAcademy Distinguished Educators. WDE will, initially, be a group of 50 academics with expertise and influence in stem cell research whose authority and knowledge give WideAcademy its credibility and trust and build a halo effect for the parent brand. The COO will create and run this programme, a key component of the WideAcademy strategy and brand.

Project management

  • There will always be a wide variety of projects at any given time. The role is vital, therefore, in management of:
    • Project deliverables of all technology engagements, including status reports, work in progress, timelines, deliverables, testing, pilots, launch and sustainability.
    • The research, curation, librarian, community manager and stakeholder management (including WideAcademy Distinguished Educators)
    • Localisation and language/translation management
    • Content production and quality
